WEST VALLEY DUI DEFENSE
One courthouse for eight cities
The San Bernardino Superior Court publishes where each type of case is filed. For felonies and misdemeanors, its Rancho Cucamonga District serves Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Fontana, Rialto, Chino, Chino Hills, Montclair, and Upland.
The same list names communities such as Alta Loma, Etiwanda, Guasti, Crestmore, Bloomington, Lytle Creek, and Mt. Baldy. The court named on your citation or release papers is the one that counts.
Our published results include five DUI cases at the Rancho Cucamonga Courthouse, from 2014 to 2026. Our only office is in Los Angeles, at 3810 Wilshire Blvd.

Courthouse
Rancho Cucamonga District
Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino
8303 Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730
Criminal phone: (909) 350-9764
- The building is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except court holidays. The criminal phone line keeps the same hours.
- The court calls the building the Rancho Cucamonga Courthouse. It hears felony and misdemeanor cases, but not traffic infractions.
- Everyone passes through weapons screening, and hand-carried items are x-rayed. Knives of any length, pepper spray, scissors, and aerosol cans are not allowed.
- Public parking is on the south, east, and west sides of the building. From Interstate 10, the court’s directions use the Haven Avenue exit. From Interstate 15, they use the Foothill Boulevard exit.
- A drop box at the front entrance takes completed documents, program completions, and fine payments by check or money order. Items left before 4:00 p.m. are received that day.
Prosecutor
District Attorney, West Valley division
The San Bernardino County District Attorney says it prosecutes crimes committed anywhere in the county, including all city jurisdictions.
Its West Valley division serves Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Montclair, Upland, Ontario, and Rancho Cucamonga. That division works on the 4th floor of the courthouse building at 8303 Haven Avenue.
Police and CHP
Sheriff’s deputies, city police, or the CHP
Police service in Rancho Cucamonga comes from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, under a contract in place since the city incorporated in 1977. The Rancho Cucamonga station is at 10510 Civic Center Drive.
Chino Hills also contracts with the Sheriff. Ontario, Fontana, Rialto, Chino, Montclair, and Upland have city police departments.
The CHP Rancho Cucamonga Area office is at 9530 Pittsburgh Avenue, phone (909) 980-3994. The CHP says it patrols freeways and unincorporated roads in Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland.
Your license
The DMV decides the license
The license case goes to the DMV, not to the Rancho Cucamonga court. If you ask for a hearing, a DMV Driver Safety hearing officer decides it. The DMV’s current list of Driver Safety offices has no office in San Bernardino County.
To get a hearing before the suspension takes effect, ask within 10 days of receiving the DMV notice. Officers usually hand over that notice at the arrest.
The Driver Safety phone number is (833) 543-7703, and the DMV also has an online Driver Safety portal. Hearings may be held remotely or in person.
THE COURT’S APPEARANCE RULES
Your first date at 8303 Haven Avenue
These steps follow the court’s appearance guide for the Rancho Cucamonga District.
BEFORE THE DATE
Find the date on your papers
Your citation or release papers usually show the first court date. The court also posts criminal case information online through its Court Access Portal.
ON THE DAY
Check the electronic calendars
The court treats first appearances in felony and misdemeanor cases as mandatory. Look for your name on the electronic calendars, then go directly to the courtroom shown. If your name is missing, ask a clerk at the criminal windows.
LAWYER, PHONE, OR VIDEO
Who has to be in the courtroom
In a misdemeanor case, a lawyer can generally appear for you. For a DUI, however, the court may order you to be present at the arraignment, plea, or sentencing. In a felony case, you generally must be present at key hearings.
The court allows remote appearance by phone or Zoom courtroom by courtroom, as the judicial officer decides. At this courthouse, it lists Zoom and CourtCall in courtrooms R1, R12, R14, and R17.
IF A DATE IS MISSED
Warrant hearings are scheduled
The court warns that a warrant may be issued if you do not appear. Misdemeanor warrant hearings are held Monday through Thursday at 8:30 a.m. The court asks you to schedule one in advance, in person or by phone.
The warrant stays active until you appear and a judge sees you.
